Anton’s New York Style Carp Bait
Submitted on October 13, 2005 by Anton
1/2 cup of flour
1/2 cup of strawberry jello
1 table spoon of corn starch
2 tablespoons of instant grits
7 table spoons of vanilla extract
2 table spoons of water
2 teaspoons of strawberry jelly
1 tablespoon of Adobo Garlic & Herbs
Mix in bowl with a spoon and not a mixer ( this gets sticky and dirty). Knit extremely well. Cut in
balls about the size of a marble. Have some water boiling in a pot just enough to cover the balls.
Boil for 2-3 mins no longer. If you boil to long it will make the balls mushy. Remove from boiling
water allow to cool. Sprinkle sugar all over the balls and roll around the sugar ( DO NOT KNIT ). At
this point you are ready to rock N roll. Use a treble hook allows the bait to stay on the hook longer.

Tom’s Nuttin’ Carp Bait

Submitted by Tom Newland on March 21, 2005
1 pound roasted peanuts in the shell
3 Tbs of peanut oil or corn oil
1 box jello (strawberry, cherry,etc.)
Boil about 6 quarts of water. Add entire bag of peanuts and oil. Boil for about an hour to two until
shells are tender. Drain and let cool. Use one cup of the water drained off the nuts to prepare jello
mix. Do not let jello cool though. Take about 3/4 of the peanuts and put into a food processor or
blender and thouroughly chop up. Add to jello and mix well until you have a nice doughy mess.
Drain any excess jello. Put into baggies and freeze. Take the remaining peanuts and use them as
they are for finicky carp or chum.

Submitted by Joyce Cook on June 18, 2004
1 Cup of plain flour
1 1/2 Cup’s yellow plain corn meal
1/4 Cup sugar
1 cup of water
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add water a little at a time until you have the right consistancy.
Divide your dough into 4 small balls. Pat balls into about an inch thich circle. Put a pan of water on
the stove with enough water to cover 2 circles of dough. Boil 3 miutes, test by sticking a knife in
the center, you don’t want it to mushy. Take dough out of boiling water and cut into peices. let cool
enough to handle. Now is the time to add your favorite scent. Vanilla, strawberry jello, garlic,
honey, Maple syrup, or bourbon if you fish next to a distilery. Kneed dough together. You may
need to sprinkle with additional water to form a dough that will not come off the hook.

Khalil’s Carp Bait
One Cup Corn Meal
One Cup Flour
Once Cup Instant Oatmeal
3/4 cup of sugar
Water (amount varies: 2 to 31/2 cups, more or less depending on preference).
Maple Syrup (amount varies)
Add dry ingredients first and then add desired amounts of water and syrup, depending on the
thickness you prefer. The sweetness is the keystone of the bait. It won’t harm to taste a tiny bit of
it. If the bait doesn’t stay on the hook and you’re out on the water with no thickening agent,
always bring a small piece of cheese cloth or wire screen, and wrap them around the baited hook
with the hook point sticking out.
